Glasgow Central Station is always photogenic. Heading the South Side for a meal with friends. What a wonderful feast Derek made!
This cold is for real. It was a lovely day for a stroll though. Christmas and Secret Santa shopping in the morning, grocery shopping in the afternoon and meal preparation in the evening. Now we can have a rest! Blanket, sofa, here we go!
There it is. A stroll around the market. Food, Lights and Cold
What a nice Saturday meal at The Left Bank! Vegan and vegetarian options and a nice staff
I had to. Impossible not to come back with more time to look for treasures. That’s what happens when you find something unexpectedly, specially something like this, a place to get lost in it, you need to dedicate the time that it deserves.
One thing that called my attention when I first came to Glasgow and still calls the attention of every visit that I have fro Spain are the stair halls of the buildings. What in here is common gives a very bad impression for Spanish tourists. It is not that they are not beautiful (I quite like them), they just wouldn’t pass the Spanish security controls and give a wrong idea of what you will find behind the doors according to the “links” a Spanish person can establish with what they have lived. If that makes any sense
Beside the library there’s a nice little music shop. You might miss it out if you are in a rush, because it is so discrete that looks like any other door of the area. It always amazes me the price you can buy culture in The UK. No matter if you are purchasing brand new stuff or second hand ones, it is way much cheeper than in Spain and there’s far much more variety. I’m looking forward to go back there with more time, we had to meet a friend at 14:00 and were running out of time to wander
